Drawing, Music and Awareness
"Every artist has thousands of bad drawings in them and the only way to get rid of them is to draw them out. " Chuck Jones
Piroska had an interesting observation on how conducting orchestras and choirs for decades have uplifted her to an almost euphoric state. Then her recent drawing and painting activities carried her to a Zen state, similar to the feeling of meditative wave-length. She found a new way to balance and relax herself. This gave the idea to share this experience with others who seek peace, balance, a creative outlet and with those who love and enjoy Classical Music and are interested in acquiring new knowledge.
A two-hour drawing and painting workshop with listening and learning about music, composers and world history to inspire your art work and relax your body and mind and to nurture your spirituality.
No pre-requisite for the workshops, you can be a total beginner who never lifted a pencil to draw. All you need is the willingness to try. Your creativity will emerge and grow as you go.
All tools will be provided as part of the workshop.
Bookings are necessary so we can cater for all active participants with art supply.
We will be listening to music like Water Music by Handel, The Magic Flute by Mozart, The Rite of Spring by Stravinsky or War Requiem by Britten and hundreds of other compositions to inspire you to create. The workshops will introduce you to different techniques and approaches to create art.
Workshops will take place in the Greater Dandenong and/or Bayside area.
